Frequently asked questions

What is WiseDinner?

An iPhone app. You give it two numbers, your weekly budget and your daily protein goal, and it returns a solved week: five days of meals you would actually order, one short list, and an estimated in-store total. There is no web version and no demo on this site. The app is the product.

What is free and what is paid?

The pre-order build is free and complete: onboarding, the offline solver, the week view, the three checks, whole-week regenerate, the aisle list with its total, share your week, beat this week. No account, nothing to buy. At launch, Protein Plan ($8.99 a month or $48 a year) lets you reroll any single meal into a different dish made from what's already on your list, and adds the receipt reveal and the weekly solve challenge. Courier ($12.99 a month or $96 a year) opens a menu when you reroll, dishes that fit your list and hit the same protein as the meal you're replacing, so you choose. It also orders the whole list delivered from your store. Every Sunday at 5pm we remind you, and next week's plan is ready when you open the app. Courier arrives in an update after release.

What is the receipt reveal?

After you shop, photograph the receipt. The app puts the estimate and what you paid side by side, tells you the difference in one line, and keeps an accuracy score that climbs week over week. It is the proof that the numbers were real.

How accurate are the prices?

We quote what the shelf says: averages from public price data with a buffer on top, labeled as estimates and refreshed weekly. Beside it sits what the same list costs delivered, an estimate, so you can see the markup. Delivery apps run 15 to 25 percent higher before fees. Every receipt you reveal tightens the estimate for you. How the math works

When can I get it?

Pre-order is open now on the App Store. Release follows three to four weeks after. iPhone first, Android next.

How does the weekly solve challenge work?

Solve a week, shop it, reveal the receipt. Only receipt-verified weeks count, so an estimate alone does not enter. The leaderboard is cost per gram of protein, so the week that buys the most protein per dollar wins, not the smallest total. It is a Protein Plan feature at launch.

What do you collect?

Nothing for the free build. No account, no sign-in, no tracking. If you subscribe, Apple handles the payment and our subscription service, RevenueCat, receives an anonymous identifier the app generates plus your purchase history so your plan works and restores across devices. We never see your name, email or card.

Why a 14-day trial?

Two solves and one receipt reveal are enough to prove it. If the receipt does not match, do not pay.
